Get Rid of Acne the Professional Way!

From the first pimple that pops up on our faces, we know that the fight with acne is on. The body has begun entering puberty and the hormones have begun doing their thing.   We sit there wondering what might happen next. Where will the next huge zit be? On the end of your nose? Smack in the middle of your forehead? Maybe a bumpy forest of them scattered across your cheeks and forehead? Not exactly something that you want to have to think about, is it? Yuck!!!

When I first started having outbreak of pimples, way back in the good old year of 1975, my dad told me that the best way to treat them was with rubbing alcohol. I was only 13 years old at the time and little did I realize that there were many more zits to come over the years. After that first pimple, I learned to absolutely despise those darn things. I knew I needed to get rid of acne immediately, before it got out of hand. So, like a good son, I did exactly what my father suggested. I mean, if it was good enough for him, it’s good enough for me to try, right? Wrong!! What I found out, in hardly no time at all, was that the alcohol dried out my skin and my face was dry as a bone. What I know now is that when you rub your entire face down with alcohol twice a day, your skin is going to get dry and chapped. Obviously, this wasn’t the best plan to follow.

As luck would have it, later on I found some better acne treatment products from the local druggist’s shop. I ended up using a brand name face wash and skin toner. The two products worked very well together, for that time period. These days, however, there are products that put that old stuff to shame. The kids of today should think of themselves as being extremely lucky because of the advances in drugs to get rid of acne. All you need today is the right treatment and your acne is a thing of the past!
