Now, I have high blood pressure. With my first, I measured big. I was told then that it is a sign of high blood pressure. I went pre-eclamptic at 37 1/2 weeks and was induced. My daughter was extremely healthy. I think what they mean is that it is a sign of later things to possible come. Just be glad they are watching you and dont stress. Maybe its coz you did have high bp that they keep it on your records in case it happens again. Although maybe the swelling on its own is enough for it to be PIH! You can have a normal BP one visit and high the next. Pregnancy is no time to ignore any incident of high blood pressure as the risk to you and especially the baby is great. They are just being cautious and evaluating you for other signs of PIH through the labs. dont worry, but dont assume it is gone- that may not be the case. I don't think the two are related. I'm not sure of the blood pressure, maybe because it was high before they still consider you that way, don't worry i'm sure everything is ok. Take it easy. My bood pressure was GREAT up until the 38th week and then it got real high. I ended up delivering by c section. Its a serious condition so dont take it lightly.
